About the artist: Lobulo Design from the UK
London-Barcelona. “I realised what I wanted to be when I grew up, while shopping with my mother at the supermarket. I would always make her pick the cereals for the picture on the cover, rather than for what was actually inside” says Javier, who ended up studying graphic design and marketing. There he learned that there’s much more to a computer than just playing Pacman. A variety of unique, creative collaborations, as well as over 8 years of experience working for various graphic design and marketing studios in Barcelona, filled the streets (and a few hard disks) with his designs, illustrations, editorial projects and concepts. Whether small or large, formal or informal, his work is always expressing emotions. Always sending out a message.
Why this work
“Don Quijote is without doubt the most important book in Spain. I remember making different works about this book as a kid in school, maybe this is the reason why I chose it. I created the three stages in the life of Quixote: knight, mad and finally dead. This cover is created by tiling creating different triangle structures made out of paper.”
