About the artist: Yara Konofrom Portugal

Born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1972. She started making her first drawings on the wall of the sitting room. Her mother, who at first was not too pleased, finally gave in to the “artistic talents” of her daughter. From wall to paper, from paper to the computer the years have gone by. She moved to Portugal in 2001 and since 2004 is part of the Planeta Tangerina team.

Why this work

“It was a huge challenge to do this illustration, because it is a book of short stories. I chose a more literal approach to the title, adding references from some short stories.”
