Why this work
“Anna Karenina has been called the greatest of all novels. I wanted to try to depict themes within the novel, love being an obvious one. But also the opulence of high society life, and the feeling of being watched when its conventions are not conformed to. The items I have created; a carafe, wedding rings, binoculars and kid gloves serve to depict these themes, and are created from relevant found papers, such as the novels pages, maps of Russia and sheet music.”
